Kitalpha, a full brother to major sire Kingmambo, stands at War Horse Place. The 11-year-old unraced son of Mr. Pospector, out of international champion Miesque, stands for $12,500.
A Kentucky-bred, Kitalpha sired two crops to race in South Africa before coming to War Horse Place in 2008. Three subsequent crops have raced in SAF & ZIM since then.
Kitalpha's first crop produced champion 2YO colt in Zimbabwe, Frog Watch, champion 3YO colt in Zimbabwe, Killaridge, and champion 2YO filly in Zimbabwe Stella Bella.
In his second crop Kitalpha sired Zimbabwe Horse of the Year, Rebecca's Fleet, an honor she won twice in consecutive years when she was also named champion 2YO & 3YO filly in SAF/ZIM
Kitalpha's first five crops produced 185 registered foals, 160 starters, 103 winnders (64% from starters), 17 Stakes winners (11%), nine are Group Stakes winners (6%) and, 38 stakes horses (24%).
Kitalpha not only is a full brother of Kingmambo, who has sired 90 stakes winners, but also to French champion filly East of the Moon and French stallion Miesque's Son. Miesque, by Nureyev, won consecutive runnings of the Breeder's Cup Mile (gr. IT) and was voted an Eclipse Award both years.
